Taragaon Regency Hotels net profit increases 286% in the second quarter to Rs 12.60 crore

Taragaon Regency Hotels (TRH) has posted a net profit rise of 286% in the second quarter of the ongoing fiscal year 2073/74. As per the unaudited financial statement published today, its net profit has increased to Rs 12.60 crore from Rs 3.26 crore last year. This shows that the tourism and hotel industry is making a comeback from the devastating earthquake and economic blockade last year. Its revenue from operations has increased 31.17% to Rs 55.70 crore while its income from other business sources has increased four folds. As of the end of Q2 this year, its paid up capital stands at Rs 1.88 arba. At the end of Q1, its reserve stood at negative Rs 24.42 crore, which has improved to negative Rs 1.41 crore. Its annualized EPS now stands at Rs 13.36, net worth per share at Rs 106.88 and P/E ratio at 29.93 times. It has not proposed any dividend for the FY 2072/73.
