Stock Market surges by 24.85 points with improvement in turnover above Rs 68.77 crore; Insurance index rises by 367.49 points

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) surged 24.85 points or 1.83% to close at 1382.19 points.
Today Nepse Index opened at 1357.78 points and then was seen in upward trend.
235,909 units shares of Siddhartha Equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) and 182,590 unit shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) were traded the most today.
Prime Life Insurance Company limited (PLIC), Everest Insurance Company Limited (EIC) and Prabhu Insurance Limited (PRIN) hit positive circuit today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 68.77 crore where more than 14.48 lakh units shares were traded through 5,115 transactions.
Sensitive and float index went down by 5.55 and 1.79 points respectively.
All the sub-indices landed in green today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the highest growth of 367.49 points or 5.87% followed by hotels. Hotels sub-index went up by 60.06 points (3.35%).
