NEPSE overall stable today with nominal loss, Sensitive index unchanged

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has lost 0.39 points today (0.03%) to close trading at 1476.51. It had gained 1.23% on the last trading day (January 10, 2017). Today, Nepse Index opened at 1476.90 points, and increased to 1484 in the second trading hour. It eventually fell again to 1476.51, losing just 0.39 points. Overall, the market has been stable. 24.99 lakhs units of Nabil Balanced Fund-1 (NBF1) and 16.22 lakh units of NMB Sulav Investment Fund-1 (NMBSF1) were traded the most today. Nabil Balanced Fund-1 (NBF1) had the highest turnover of over Rs. 4.74 crore, followed by Nepal life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) with Rs. 2.36 crore. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs.36.55 crore where 45.64 lakh unit shares were traded through 2,645 transactions. Sahayogi Bikas Bank (SBBLJ) and Karnali Development Bank (KRBL) hit positive circuit today as well. NB Insurance Limited (NBIL) and Ridi Hydropower Company (RHPC) lost the most today. Purnima Bikas Bank (PURBL) and Bhargav Bikas Bank (BHBL) were also among the top losers today. There was no change in sensitive index today. Float index decreased by 0.08 points. Development Bank, Hydropower and Insurance landed in red today.
