Butwal Power shows a whopping rise in profit of 357.49%; profit rises due to dividend from Himal Power

Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) has shown astounding increase in net profit by 357.49% percent in the second quarter of the FY 2074/75. This humongous rise in profit is due to Rs 49.60 crore dividend income obtained from Himal Power Limited. According to the unaudited financial report published today, its net profit after income tax has surged to Rs 59.92 crore in the second quarter of fiscal year 2074/75 from Rs 13.09 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year 2073/74. BPCL has made regular income from power sales of Rs 40.98 crore by the end of the second quarter up from Rs 40.24 crore in the corresponding quarter — rise by 1.82 %. Its current paid up capital stands at Rs 1.81 arba with Rs 2.86 arba in reserve fund. Its second quarter earnings per share (EPS) stands at Rs 33.09, net worth per share is at Rs 258.21 and P/E ratio at 21.48 times. (EPS and P/E ratio are not annualized.) Q2 Report
