NMB Microfinance enters into 5th years of operation

NMB Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited has successfully entered into 5th year of operation. The microfinance has conducted various programs on the occasion of its 5th anniversary. As a part of corporate social responsibility, the microfinance company donated study materials such as exercise books, pencils and stationery items to 50 school students of Gaurishankal School, Hemja, Pokhara. The microfinance also handed fruits and lunch packages to 72 senior citizens at old age homes, and organized quiz contest and football tournament. In addition, it organized cleaning program of the old temple and a lunch program. Mr. Tirtha Ratna Konajo, CEO of the microfinance company said, “The company has been providing banking services in the remote areas and will continue to conduct programs in such places.” The program was started by cleaning the surroundings of Kedareshwor temple, Lakeside, Pokhara. Publishing a press statement, it stated that the microfinance company was established in 2069 and has 50 branch offices in remote areas of the country. The microfinance company has 52,000 members. The company has disbursed Rs 1.46 arba loans and has Rs 31 crore in deposits.
