Market closes due to 5% negative circuit; Expert advice not to sell shares at panic

Nepse Index decreased by 5.03 percent today. Nepal Stock Exchange has now suspended its operation due to the continous downfall of the market. The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went down by 88.81 points or 5.03% to close at 1675.91 points. Sandeep Bikram Rana, Market Expert said, “Market decreases mainly due to panic selling from new investors. So, investors are requested to have patience and hold shares for sometime. Still companies are strong and we can expect handsome dividend this year.” Nepse Index opened at 1764.74 points and continuously shrinked afterward. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 87.93 crore, where more than 11.62 lakhs unit shares were traded through 4,816 transactions. Sensitive index and float index went down by 19.45 and 6.91 points respectively. Except Manufacturing & Production, all the other sectors at Nepse landed on red. nepse
