Mega Bank announces 9.45% bonus shares for 65% right shares & Tourism Development Bank shareholders; Paid up to cross Rs 10 arba after merger and bonus share

Mega Bank Nepal Limited (MEGA) has announced dividend to its shareholders. As per the notice published in NEPSE today, the board meeting of the bank held on Poush 25, 2074 has announced to distribute 9.45% bonus shares from the net profit of FY 2073/74. The decision is subject to the approval from the concerned authority and upcoming AGM. Its paid up capital will reach to Rs 8.07 arba from existing Rs 7.37 arba (including 65% right shares). It had earned Rs 79.14 crore in the FY 2073/74. The trading of MEGA has been halted due to merger with Tourism Development Bank Limited (TDBL) since June 18, 2017 which suffers thousand of shareholders. As per Anupama Khunjeli, Acting CEO of MEGA, "the merger will complete within the second week of Falgun, 2074 and the paid up capital of the MEGA including TDBL will cross Rs 10 arba."
