Nepse on a roller coaster ride on the last day of year; dips by 5.94 points supported by turnover above Rs 1.48 arba

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 5.94 points or 0.35% to close the year B.S. 2073 at 1,697.13 points today. NEPSE Index opened at 1,702.74 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day with extreme selling pressures at various times. The index had declined by around 22 points within the first 10 minutes of trading. index On Chaitra 30, 2072, NEPSE was at 1388.63 points, while this year the index is at 1697.13 points, a year-on-year rise of 308.5 points. Benchmark index of NEPSE saw a rise of 22.21% at the end of the year 2073 as compared to last year. 381,761 units shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) and 105,586 units shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) were traded the most today. Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) and Seti Finance Limited (SETI) hit positive circuit break today. Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank limited (NCCB) and Gurans Life Insurance Company Limited (GLICL) had the highest turnover of Rs 17.44 crore and Rs 7.34 crore respectively. The number of transactions of NCCB and GLICL reached 1029 and 350. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.48 arba where more than 21.33 lakh units shares were traded through 9,618 transactions. Sensitive index and float index decreased 1.49 and 0.52 points respectively.
