Nepse Index rises by double digit to close at 1604.15 points; Turnover above Rs 69.43 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has gained 20.58 points today. The index has closed at 1604.15 points today after rising by 1.30%. Nepse Index opened at 1583.54 points and the local bourse was seen in the upward trend. Over 20.12 lakh units shares were traded today from 6,635 different transactions. The total turnover of the day exceeds to Rs 69.43 crore. Forward Community Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) and Nepal life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) have the highest turnovers of Rs 4.89 crore and Rs 3.48 crore respectively. 416,000 units of Laxmi Value Fund (LVF1) were traded the most today. Himalyan Distillary Limited (HDL) gained the most today while Kuber Merchant Finance Limited (KMBSL) was the top losers today. Sensitive and float index went up by 4.4 points and 1.69 points respectively. All sectors have ended in green, insurance sector increased the most with 95.35 points.
