NEPSE back on track; Index surges by 49.98 points with turnover above Rs 1.07 arba

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 49.98 points or 3.10% to close at 1662.02 points.

Today Nepse Index opened at 1612.04 points and made a swing in the second trading hour however it continuously rose afterward.


147,654unit shares of Nabil Equity Fund (NEF) and 118,650 unit shares of NMB Sulav investment Fund-1 (NMBSF1) were traded the most today.  12 companies hit positive circuit break today.

Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL) and Gurans Life Insurance Company Limited (GLICL) had the highest turnover of Rs 5 crore and Rs 4.09 crore respectively.

The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.07 arba where more than 18.02 lakh units shares were traded through 7434 transactions.

Sensitive and float index went up by 10.77 points and 3.59 points respectively.

Except others, all sectors at Nepse landed in green. Sub-indices of Insurance and Hotels sector surged the most by 292.67 points and 87.29 points respectively.
