Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE)’s website has crashed today after rise in web traffic. The websites http://www.nepalstock.com and http://www.nepalstock.com.np were both facing slow loading times since last week when the market had suddenly started to rise. Speaking to ShareSansar, Mr. Murahari Parajuli, spokesperson of NEPSE, said, “The system has not been able to upload the data to the website. We can’t say when the problem will be resolved.” Several investors sparked outrage on social media groups pointing out the irresponsibility of the country's only stock exchange. “If this continues, online trading is a distant dream”, said an annoyed investor on social media. The website was facing slow loading times since last week, but the failure to acknowledge the problem for such a long time has annoyed all investors. Inability to correct the ongoing problem for almost 2 weeks has left negative impression on the only stock exchange of Nepal. Update: NEPSE's website came back to operation around 12:00 PM, but is still facing slow loading times due to the congestion in web traffic.
